Description
As the Main Construction Manager for the Faro Mine Complex, Parsons Inc., will be requesting proposals for the Upgrades to the Intermediate Dam (ID) Spillway Project at the Faro Mine Complex in Faro, Yukon. This Project consists of reconstructing the intermediate dam spillway, including site preparation, clearing and stripping, rough grading, excavation, trenching and backfilling, installation of structural steel channel, sheet piles, installation of geotextile materials, gabions, placement of riprap in spillway.
This Project also consists of constructing an access road to the Cross Valley Pond (CVP), replacement of the X5 road crossing and maintenance of roads impacted by the works. Water control measures will also have to be implemented for the installation of culverts. As this is the Procurement Notice, no documentation is posted with this notice.
Bidders are reminded that this Project takes place on Ross River Dena Council and Kaska Dena asserted territory. Bidders are encouraged to assist with the Client’s objective to encourage Indigenous socio-economic development through federally funded opportunities. This includes assisting in the development of Indigenous workers and businesses that will contribute to the economic development of Indigenous communities; help stimulate Indigenous employment and business development; provide opportunity for Indigenous businesses through subcontracting and/or joint venture with the general business community when bidding on tenders; and build Indigenous capacity by providing on the job training, skills development/apprenticeship and mentorship.

The Yukon Contractors Association is sharing the following Notice of Project on behalf of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation (KDFN) regarding an upcoming multi-year community retrofit initiative in Whitehorse, Yukon.
This project presents upcoming opportunities for construction management services and future subcontractor participation.
The KDFN Community Retrofit Initiative is a deep energy retrofit program aimed at improving the performance, durability, and comfort of approximately 100 homes within the KDFN community.
Exterior finishing, insulation, and air-sealing (above and below grade, including attics)
Window and door replacement
Heat pump and HRV installation, including electrical upgrades
Construction start: May 2026
Substantial completion: November 2027
Final project close-out: March 31, 2028
KDFN is seeking a Construction Manager (CM) to provide pre-construction, construction, and post-construction services, including the hiring and coordination of subtrades.
